In the meantime, consider submitting to/attending the 2021 SPOR Northwest Virtual Institute on Fridays in October 2021. The Alberta SPOR SUPPORT Unit (AbSPORU) is partnering with SPOR-funded entities across western and northern Canada, including the BC SUPPORT Unit, Hotıì ts’eeda (Northwest Territories’ SPOR Unit), Saskatchewan Centre for Patient-Oriented Research (SCPOR), and The George and Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation (Manitoba’s SPOR Unit), to bring you the SPOR Northwest Virtual Institute. Programming will take place every Friday in October, and will include talks, workshops, abstract presentations, and networking events focused on the theme Evolution and adaptation in patient-oriented research: Infectious ideas for a changing world.

Putting Patients First is our annual conference designed to encourage learning and collaboration between patients interested in patient-oriented research (POR), health researchers, health care providers and health system decision makers.

Find out why this conference is important to patients, researchers, decision-makers and health care providers, our conference goals, and learning objectives.

We acknowledge that our event takes place on traditional, ancestral, and unceded Indigenous territories. As guests to this beautiful land, we are thankful and consider it a privilege to do our learning here.

Curious about other patient-oriented research events from Western Canada's SPOR SUPPORT Units? Check out the Hotıì Ts’eeda Nàowoò T’à Łets’àts’edı website for details from Fall 2020.
