Alison Drummond – Syreon Corporation
Alison Drummond is the Quality Manager at a Vancouver-based CRO and has been in this role for five years. Prior to this, her background includes GMP, GCP, QMS and Project Management. She is consulting on her days off to Northern Health Authority as they build capacity to participate in clinical trials.
Karen McGillivray- BC Cancer
Karen is the Quality Assurance and Process Improvement Specialist at BC Cancer, responsible for quality oversight at six provincial centres. She has over 15 years of experience in clinical quality, and has previously worked for both a sponsor company and a CRO. Karen specializes in quality management and SOP creation, and conducted GCP audits both domestically and internationally. She has maintained her credential as a Registered Quality Assurance Professional in Good Clinical Practices since 2008.
Sasha Pavlovich – Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute
Sasha Pavlovich is the Clinical Research Quality Assurance Specialist at VCHRI. Her passion for quality and education was cultivated in her previous role as an experienced research coordinator with a background in neonatal, prenatal and maternal health. After completing her undergraduate and teaching degrees at UBC, Sasha worked in education, health promotion and international development at UNICEF and UNESCO. She completed her MA in Education and International Development in London, England, followed by graduate work in epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
