Reporting to the Unit Director, Research Ethics BC (REBC), the Research Ethics Harmonization Facilitator provides support to the operating unit and the stakeholders of REBC for effective use of the harmonized research ethics platform.
This individual demonstrates a standard of excellence, enjoys challenge, and is results-driven. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, demonstrate the ability to use her/his own initiative and manages time effectively.
Key Duties & Responsibilities/Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate the effective use of Provincial Research Ethics Platform (PREP) by researchers and research ethics board administrators through development and delivery of education programs, workshops, and webinars.
Provide consultation for researchers and research teams on harmonized ethics review.
Facilitates the change management process for PREP on behalf of REBC and non-UBC affiliated research ethics board offices.
Support the development of oversight documentation for key strategic projects or initiatives.
Support the compilation of information and preparation of various reports and plans for the unit.
Guide the collection and analysis of metrics, including custom reports for the network research ethics boards.
Engage with other team members, stakeholders, network members to foster positive relationships, and to support those individuals in successfully meeting their respective mandates.
Regularly collaborate in a virtual environment and take part in online meetings.
