Heather Strosher is joining the BC SUPPORT Unit Vancouver Island Centre as the new Knowledge Broker and will be working with research teams to integrate research into practice. Prior to joining the Vancouver Island Centre team, Heather worked as a Research Coordinator and Grant Facilitator for close to twenty years at the University of Victoria. Most recently, at the Canadian Institute of Substance Use Research working on projects aimed at reducing health inequities and the harms of substance use and stigma. Prior to this, she worked in the areas of public health systems and services research and community health promotion. Outside of work, Heather spends time hiking, camping and boating with her husband and three children.
