Paola Pinto Vidal is the Education and Communications Coordinator supporting Research Ethics BC with an equity-centered approach to design and commitment to diversity, inclusion and social justice through content development of unit assets and materials. In this role Paola uses their ethics experience to facilitate and support the streamlining of harmonized ethical review on the Provincial Research Ethics Platform. They also provide support to the REBC Advisory Council, facilitating communication between REBC stakeholders, researchers, and administrators and assisting in the training and onboarding of new REBC partners.
Paola holds a BA in Sociology and Gender Studies and a Post Baccalaureate in Communication from Simon Fraser University. Upon entering her current graduate program in Anthropology at SFU, she was a recipient of the C.D Nelson Memorial Graduate Entrance Scholarship and an internal SFU Graduate Fellowship. She was also a recipient of a SHHRC Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship-Master’s award.
